A home energy audit is a comprehensive assessment of a home’s energy usage, comfort, health, and safety. The data we gather and what it means is determined by building science principles and years of application.

An audit identifies areas where energy is wasted and provides recommendations for improving efficiency and comfort.

We use an assortment of tools such as a blower door, infrared camera, and combustion analyzers to help our certified auditors detect how energy is moving in your home.

Once the initial audit is complete, we then take time to analyze the information collected. That includes using our experience connecting what we saw in your home with what we have seen in others. In addition, we build an energy model of your home based on specific information gathered and analytical software created by the Department of Energy.

The final result is a report which captures specifically how energy can be better utilized in your home as well as some prioritized recommendations to consider.
